The man in your corner

From Shostka to the world stage — the hard way.

Ivan Redkach started boxing at six years old in Shostka, Ukraine. His talent earned him a place at the famed Brovarsky Sports Boarding School in Kyiv — the same school that developed champions like Wladimir Klitschko. He went on to become a Ukrainian national champion, earn a place on the Ukrainian National Team in 2008, and fight more than 300 times as an amateur.

In 2009, at twenty-three, he left for the United States with three hundred dollars and a promise to his family that he’d bring home a champion. What came next wasn’t a fairy tale — it was a fight for survival. He built a world-ranked career anyway — sharing the ring with former world champions and fighting on the sport’s biggest stages.

Nineteen of his twenty-four wins came by knockout — the punching power that earned him the name “El Terrible.”

Consistency and accountability that carry into the rest of life.

I have always known I wanted to learn boxing, but never found the opportunity to feel comfortable enough to start from zero. Especially being over 40 — even in decent shape, boxing gyms can feel intimidating. Ivan made me feel so comfortable from the first day! I now have developed a true passion for the sport. I have trained with Ivan for months now, and I still can't believe the level of attention and care he provides in his private sessions. Truly an honor to learn from him weekly.

My child has been training with Coach Ivan for several months, and we've noticed a huge boost in confidence, focus, and discipline. He loves the workouts, learning new skills, and being part of such a positive environment. Coach Ivan is patient, motivating, and truly invested in the kids' success inside and outside of the gym. I highly recommend this program to other families!

Coach Ivan has made such a positive impact on my two children. He is patient and gentle when he works with my 6- and 8-year-old, allowing them to build confidence and continue to progress — and most importantly, he makes boxing fun for them.

Equal Chance Boxing Foundation

It was never just about boxing.

Ivan knows what it means to be counted out — to arrive with nothing and fight for everything. That’s why he founded the Equal Chance Boxing Foundation: a nonprofit giving youth, families, and people in recovery the structure, mentorship, and second chance that change a life. Every program is built on one belief: every champion deserves a chance.
